What AppAdvize is
AppAdvize is a software recommendation site built for people running real businesses — not enterprise IT departments. We focus on the tools that creators, consultants, freelancers, and small agencies actually use: email platforms, CRMs, project management, course builders, payment processors, and the glue that holds them together.
We publish scored tool reviews, head-to-head comparisons, curated stacks by business type and budget, and step-by-step setup playbooks. Everything is designed to help you make a faster, better decision — and then actually get set up.
How we score tools
Every tool on AppAdvize is scored on a consistent 10-point scale across five dimensions: ease of use, feature depth, value for money, integrations, and support quality. Scores reflect our editorial judgment — not user review averages, not vendor-submitted data.
We weight scores toward the needs of our audience: a tool that excels for solo creators but falls apart at team scale gets scored accordingly. We note these tradeoffs explicitly.
Tools are not charged for placement, reviewed differently based on affiliate relationships, or given preferential scores for any commercial reason. A tool's score is independent of whether we earn a commission when you sign up.
Affiliate disclosure
AppAdvize earns a commission when you sign up for a tool through one of our affiliate links. This is how we keep the site free and fund ongoing research. Affiliate links are marked with a “Partner” label where they appear.
Affiliate relationships do not affect editorial scores, rankings, or which tools appear in our comparisons. We cover and score all major tools in each category — including direct competitors to tools we earn commissions on.
If a tool we recommend has no affiliate program, we still recommend it. Several of the highest-scored tools on AppAdvize generate no commission for us.

Setup playbooks
Beyond reviews, AppAdvize publishes step-by-step setup playbooks for the most commonly used tools. Each playbook walks you from account creation through your first real workflow — covering configuration, integrations, and the optimizations that most users take months to discover on their own.
Playbooks are reviewed for accuracy and updated when tools make significant changes to their interface or pricing. Where features require paid plans, we note that explicitly so you're not surprised at a paywall.
